🧦World Down Syndrome Day 21/3/22🧦
Monday 21st March
The date for World Down Syndrome day, the 21st day of the third month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the 21st chromosome. For a child to be born with Down Syndrome their 21st chromosome instead of being doubled is tripled.
To celebrate this day we asked all pupils to wear odd or your craziest and most colourful socks to raise awareness of Down Syndrome.
We also asked that if anyone had relatives or friends who have Down Syndrome that they could bring in a photo and tell their class why they are so special to them.
